A month long school holidays is just round the corner. We’ll not be traveling as our passports will not be renewed on time. It is the time of the year I have to start planning activities for my 3 active children.

Although it is easy to occupy my children with computer, I prefer them spending more time away from it and especially during the school holidays.

Below are 5 outdoor activities for family bonding during the school holidays.

Conclusion

My children love playing with water and sand. So, I guess I better be prepared for them to get wet if necessary.

Here is a useful tip if you know your children are going to play with sand. Bring along baby powder or talcum powder. Simply dust the powder on their skin and you can easily brush off the sand from their bodies.

Let the child fully enjoy playing at one location before moving on. Try not to be in a haste to visit other attractions in the park. In this manner, you can plan multiple visits  back to the park.

Don’t forget to check out the advice on Macaques by the National Parks Board if your trip may encounter some monkeys.

I hope my children will grow to desire more outdoor activities rather than spending in isolation with the computer. Although it is equally challenging to plan activities and allocate time for the children during their school holidays, it is a sacrifice that will go a long way.

Why not organize a picnic with other parents to create more excitement for the children?

How about making the housework as a day activity for the children to help in the laundry, organize their wardrobe, and clean up the house?

Let me know what you think. If you find this blog post helpful, please share it with other parents or give a Like!
